Ulka Desai shares her experience of scoring 760 in just 18 days with a V46 in the GMAT exam. She found the verbal section challenging and changed her approach to a more logical and quantitative one after enrolling in a GMAT course and watching Sandeep Gupta's videos. She recommends understanding the primary purpose of the passage in the Reading Comprehension section and going through critical reasoning and sentence correction.

Despite struggling with time management in the Quant section, she achieved an impressive score and is now working on her applications with Top One Percent!


Ulka Desai explains how she managed to score a 760 with a V46 on the GMAT in just 18 days. Despite being an experienced CAT taker, she found the verbal section of the GMAT to be challenging. However, after enrolling in a GMAT course and watching Sandeep Gupta's videos, she was able to transform her approach to verbal and see it as a more logical, quantitative task, rather than a subjective one. She spent a few hours every day studying, motivated by the goal of finishing her preparation by a specific date. Her focus on logic and structure helped her excel on the verbal section, particularly in RC and CR.

During the exam, Desai experienced hesitation when confirming her answers, but she reminded herself to stick with her first answer and move on. Despite being stronger in quant, Desai focused more on verbal as gaining one point in verbal is more difficult than in quant. Desai did not have any pacing issues on the exam day.
